The second day, which was held in Guimaraes, more precisely in the Sport Park of Souto Santa Maria, featured more than 40 athletes. The race was of XCO-Cross Country and featured with new University World Champions.
The MBT took place for more than 4 km, where the female athletes did five laps and the men seven laps.
In the female category, the winner was Felicitas Geiger (Germany). The german finished the race with 1:02:42 of end time. Completing the podium were the dutch Lotte Rosanne Koopmans and the polish Gabriela Wojtyla. The competition featured with 17 athletes.
In the male race, the first classified was Erno Mccrae (Belgium). With a time of 1:17:04, the Belgian won the gold medal. Krzysztof Lukasik, from Poland, won the silver medal and Martin Stosek, of the Czech Republic got the bronze. The male category with the participation of 29 athletes.
The Ceremony Protocol with the podiums featured the presence of the Technical Delegate of the International University Sports Federation (FISU), Nienke Vos, the Sport Councillor of the city of Guimarães, Ricardo Costa, Executive Committee Member International University Sports Federation (FISU) and António Paisana, Administrator of University of Minho Social Services.
